Fifty Shades Freed

Critics have destroyed Fifty Shades Darker Fifty Shades Darker. Hardly anyone has had mercy on the return of Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson as Christian Gray and Anastasia Steele. For many stuntmen, they didn’t even have to bother going back to the movies.

In this sequel to Fifty Shades of Gray, which was a box office hit in 2015, James Foley replaced Sam Taylor-Johnson as director, while Niall Leonard, the husband of E.L. James, the author of the saga, was in charge of the script. However, the change of helm was not very helpful in animating this erotic thriller.

Here’s a look at everything the critics are saying about Fifty Shades Darker, starting with a comment from Entertainment Weekly critics Devan Coggan: “Darker commits what could be the most punishable offense: being boring.”

1. JORDAN HOFFMAN OF VANITY FAIR
“This new movie, from director James Foley, is everything we want to see when we buy a ticket to see a movie that was a hit book, kind of like the Twilight story. This film is a trash masterpiece. At first, Johnson appears as the image of her mother Melanie Griffith, but she soon detaches herself from that figure to be herself. She is, without a doubt, the best. They will not be able to believe how bad the dialogue is, you do not need to see it twice to realize it. Still, Johnson does it well. Without another good detail, this movie should be in Guantanamo. Instead, we have the best movie for Valentine’s Day. “
