What Men Want

What Men Want

What Do Men Think of? (What Men Want). After the question (without answering) we have a movie (which pretends to be) more or less funny and simple. It stays in that, in simpletoning and the jokes… they didn’t finish reaching us.

Easy comedy turning Mel Gibson’s a bit. This time the protagonist is of another color and of another sex (let’s see if we don’t offend anyone), in a sports agency instead of in an advertising agency and … 20 years have passed since the other movie, a nice comedy and even intelligent who had his grace in his time.

This movie takes up the theme in a less effective way, pulling more to the “easy” and with jokes about the usual and with an argument “to use” so as not to surprise anyone or disappoint: come on, nothing original. It is assumed that with these changes and given the demands of the public, the marketers will have done their studies and things will work well for the number one streaming network, so nothing to object, but nothing to celebrate, because we ran into a crude comedy and without much grace.

It is saved a bit by the actors, Taraji P. Henson and Wendi McLendon-Covey, with great gifts for comedy not too elegant (and with a lot of gesticulation), but the script is too easy and stupid no matter how much nobody wants to get out of the plane of stupid and carefree comedy.
